LONDON, March 28 - RAPSI, Yelena Pakhomova. The London police have revealed the evidence that may shed some light on the circumstances of Russian businessman Boris Berezovsky's death. Berezovsky was found dead last Saturday in the bathroom of his house in the UK.
During the inquest into the businessman's death, detective inspector Mark Bissell of the Thames Valley police said Berezovsky had some kind of ligature round his neck when his bodyguard found him on the bathroom floor.
A similar piece of material was found on the shower curtain bar.
Earlier today The Guardian, in referring to a statement by the late businessman's family, reported that the postmortem examination of the body had found a broken rib. The newspaper also reported that a funeral service will take place no sooner than in six weeks, after the police are done with the forensic examination and the body is released to the family.
The Russian President's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, had earlier announced that Moscow would consider arranging for the funeral service of the oligarch in exile. Berezovsky's family and friends, however, said the late businessman would be buried in either London or Israel.
Further toxicological and tissues examinations are still needed to identify the circumstances of Berezovskys death. The results will be known within the next few weeks.
