MOSCOW, September 25 (RAPSI) - Russian national Anatoly Gural suspected of drug smuggling has been deported from Thailand to Russia, Andrei Dvornikov, head of the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, told RIA Novosti.

According to Dvornikov, last summer Gural was arrested on Phuket where he lived with forged documents.

Today he was handed over to the officers of the Russian Bureau of Interpol, the diplomat said.

In Russia Gural is charged with illicit traffic of drugs.
