MOSCOW, December 13 (RAPSI) - Moscow bar association Kniazev and Partners on Friday told RAPSI that attorney Anton Matyushenko was assaulted by the police during the search at his client's property.
According to Matyushenko the incident took place when he was giving counsel to his client, while a search and seizure was conducted by the police.
"When the authorities started to cut down the door on one of the locked rooms, Matyushenko started filming them on his mobile phone. The police didn't take kindly to that, and assaulted the counsellor," - the bar association's statement reads.
Matyushenko filed a motion with the Investigative Committee, internal affairs and Prosecutor's Office.
According to its website, Moscow bar association Kniazev and Partners represented 8,550 persons and 818 legal entities. There were pleaded 779 arbitration cases, 1,573 civil cases; 1,003 amicable agreements were achieved; 228 criminal cases were withdrawn at the stage of investigation and in court, 172 persons were released from custody.
