MOSCOW, January 29 (RAPSI) – The Safe Internet League (League), which describes itself as the most reputable Russian organization fighting dangerous web content, has filed a request with the Ministry of the Interior seeking an investigation into 96 websites which allegedly contain porn, Digit.ru reported Wednesday.

The organization has tracked down 100 websites containing adult services advertisements with high traffic at 700,000 viewers a month, CEO of the organization Denis Davydov told journalists. Taking into account that porn images were allegedly placed on 96 of these websites, the organization filed a request with the ministry, Davydov added.

The organization is going to file claims against the websites’ administrators in court and seek their prohibition.

More than 14,000 online resources have been blacklisted in the year that has passed since the activation of the Russian media and communications regulator’s website blacklist in November 2012.

However, independent experts complain of unlawful blocks after the blacklist was enacted. Head of the RosKomSvoboda NGO Artyom Kozlyuk said in November 2013 that 83,000 websites were blocked without appropriate legal justification.
