OMSK, April 3 (RAPSI) – A court has ordered the temporary shutdown of an Omsk cheese factory after employees posted online a photo of themselves bathing in milk, RIA Novosti reported.
The shutdown will last for 40 days, by which point all violations are expected to have been corrected. Since mid-2011, the cheese factory has been producing Chechil cheese under the Syroyedovo and Adygeya brands.
Representatives of the Omsk branch of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) have turned to the court seeking the plant’s closure.
A production director in turn said that the employees were bathing in fluids that were then utilized.
Judge Sergei Tarabanov ruled that the cheese factory has violated the rules of Russia’s health legislation and the requirements of regulations for manufacturing processes.
