MOSCOW, August 14 (RAPSI) - Russia’s withdrawal from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) is possible but is not on the agenda yet, ITAR-TASS quotes Vladimir Putin as having said at a meeting with State Duma lawmakers in Crimea.

“Technically, it is of course possible, but we are not discussing the issue right now,” the President said.

In response to a proposal by Yelena Mizulina, Chair of the State Duma Committee on Family Issues, to withdraw from ECHR, Putin said that many rulings of the court are politically motivated.
