WARSAW, August 19 (RAPSI) – Poland has filed a request with the European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht over Russia’s embargo on EU food imports demanding the World Trade Organization to look into the matter, RIA Novosti reported Tuesday.
On August 7, Russia imposed an embargo on food imports from the EU, the United States and other Western countries for one year in response to sanctions introduced against Russia. The ban includes beef, pork, poultry, fruit, vegetables, cheese, dairy, nuts and other products.
