ULAN BATOR, September 3 (RAPSI) – Russia and Mongolia have signed an agreement introducing a visa-free travel regime that was terminated in 1995, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, nationals of both countries can enjoy a visa-free stay in Russia or Mongolia for 30 days. The total period of stay should not exceed 90 days within 180 days.

An agreement was signed following President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Mongolia.

“This measure will give a fresh impetus to the development of mutually beneficial business, cultural and tourist relations,” said Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president.
