MADRID, April 17 (RAPSI) - Spain has extradited Viskhan Dzhabayev, accused of property theft valued at 1.7 million rubles ($33,000), to Russia, RIA Novosti reported on Frida,y citing Konstantin Dorokhin, Head of the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Madrid.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General announced that Dzhabayev stands accused of premeditated theft by an organized group with breaking and entering and causing significant damage to an individual.

In September 2008, Dzhabayev and his accomplices allegedly stole a motor boat and other property worth 500,000 rubles ($9,700) from a camp in a village in Russia’s Republic of Udmurtia. Additionally, between February and April 2009, Dzhabayev and his accomplices stole other property worth over 1 million rubles ($19,400) in various locations across Udmurtia.

In April 2010, Dzhabayev was put on the federal wanted list and in May 2010 on the international wanted list.

In August 2014, the Russian Prosecutor General sent an extradition request to Spain, which was approved last March.
