MOSCOW, October 15 (RAPSI) – Executive of the Moscow metro construction company, Mosmetroholding, was arrested in an embezzlement case, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday.
According to the agency’s unnamed source, this arrest is connected with alleged embezzlement of funds targeted for construction of “Shipilovskaya” metro station. Official website of Mosmetroholding reads that Alexander Smirnov is a chief executive of the company, however there’ve been no official statements from police yet.
According to Internal ministry’s press-service, six people are suspected of criminal activity in this case, police have already conducted appropriate searches.
On one of the videotapes in the searched offices an observer may see a statement written in one of the cabinets: “Business is an art of transferring money from a person’s pocket without resorting to violence”.
