MOSCOW, January 11 (RAPSI) – Investigators have officially charged elderly man who allegedly set on fire a city hall of a small Russian town, Dudinka, with murder committed in socially dangerous manner, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.
According to the Investigative Committee’s preliminary findings, 63-year old man entered the city hall of Dudinka on December 29. Allegedly he poured out petrol over the building and set it on fire. 40 people were evacuated, 4 people died in a fire, 8 people asked for medical help.
Earlier alleged arsonist asked the city’s administration to provide him with housing. According to administration’s employees, he was offered with several housing proposals but he rejected all of them because he asked for two apartments instead of one.
