MOSCOW, May 13 (RAPSI) – Estonian citizen Arsen Mardaleishvili has been arrested in St. Petersburg on suspicion of espionage, Public Relations Centre of the Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Friday.

According to the FSB, Mardaleishvili has collected classified military information on Russia’s Armed Forces by order of the Estonian Interior Ministry. Leakage of such information abroad could diminish Russia’s defense capacity.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspect.
