MOSCOW, April 26 (RAPSI) – Number of cybercrimes in Russia doubled in 2016 and reached more than 42,000 instances, Prosecutor General Yury Chaika said on Wednesday during the annual report reading at the Federation Council.
The Prosecutor General noted the need for toughened criminal liability for such crimes and need for penalties against credit organizations for insufficient protection of bank deposits.
Subject of the report is the state of justice in Russia and the work completed by Russian prosecutors.
