MOSCOW, July 17 (RAPSI) - Russia's children's rights commissioner Anna Kuznetsova is checking information about withdrawal of a child from a family of Russians in Estonia, according to the statement on the ombudsman’s website.
“We have come into contact with the embassy, conducted talks on this case with authorized structures; all needed requests will be sent in the near future,” the statement reads. It is important that each succeeding step should be taken in the family’s interests, according to the ombudsman.
Earlier, lawyer Violetta Volkova announced that an 8-year girl had been withdrawn from the family of Russians. According to the attorney, Estonian juvenile authorities removed the child under a court order in the days prior to the family’s departure from Tallinn to Moscow. The girl was allegedly removed because of the absence of repair in apartment.
