MOSCOW, November 27 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova has asked the Interior Ministry to verify cases of revocation of passports belonging to Crimean residents, the Ombudsman’s press-service told RAPSI on Monday.
According to Moskalkova, there is conflicting data regarding the grounds for such revocation. She believes that the situation calls for establishment of a registry and said that she will allocate employees to deal with the problem.
Moskalkova noted that number of people, who had their passports revoked, varies from 2,000 to 4,500 persons, but there is no accurate information yet.
