MOSCOW, April 17 (RAPSI) – Officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) have put an end to activity of a conspiratorial cell of supporters for the Islamic State terrorist organization prohibited in Russia, the FSB press service reports.

Members of the cell allegedly planned to commit terrorist attacks in the Rostov Region using firearms and homemade explosives.

According to the statement, three members of the cell were arrested with firearms, ammunition, communication equipment and data storage devices containing materials propagating activity of the abovementioned organization. Alleged leader of the cell was killed during arrest.
