MOSCOW, June 4 (RAPSI) – Combatting corruption remains a priority of Russia’s Audit Chamber’s work, its chairman Aleksey Kudrin said during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
By present, as Kudrin told the President, the audits of last year's reports on the activities of all ministries and government departments were practically completed. According to the Audit Chamber Chairman, across almost all ministries and departments certain shortcomings in execution of state programs and financial improprieties were revealed.
In total, in 2017, 136 reports were sent to law enforcement agencies based on the Audit Chamber’s work including 86 to prosecutor’s offices; 35 criminal cases were opened, the presidential press service quoted Kudrin as having said.
