MOSCOW, September 3 (RAPSI) – The Federal Antimonopoly Agency (FAS) found Yandex.Taxi service guilty of law violation because of a small unreadable print in the company’s advertisement, the watchdog’s statement reads.
According to the FAS, from March to May, the company advertised its services in such Russia’s cities as Kursk, Petrozavodsk, Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Ivanovo, Cherepovets and Murmansk. A part of the ads’ text was published in a small print.
The antimonopoly agency ruled that a substantial part of the advertisement was published in a fine print; therefore, customers had misperception of the services’ cost.
The FAS found Yandex.Taxi guilty of distributing misinforming advertisement and issued the company an instruction to stop the violation. Moreover, a case on administrative offence is ready to be opened, the statement reads.
