MOSCOW, November 19 (RAPSI) – Over 14 million counterfeit production units were found out in Russia in 2018, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at the VI Anti-Counterfeiting Forum on Monday.

According to Siluanov, exposed counterfeit goods include tobacco, alcoholic and pharmaceutical products.

The minister believes it is necessary not only to take internal measures in every country but to join efforts within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union in order to lower trafficking in counterfeits.

The VI Anti-Counterfeiting Forum 2018 is being held in Moscow. The conference is aimed to develop efficient statutory remedy for innovation activity, measures to improve the system of certification and standardization of industrial products and customs regulation instruments.
