MOSCOW, November 26 (RAPSI) – Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service’s (FAS) department for the Voronezh Region has revealed a cartel over provision of warm meals for schoolchildren, the antimonopoly watchdog’s statement reads.
The department of FAS found that three companies specializing in provision of food for schools violated regulations on protection of competition. According to the authorities, four companies signed cartel agreements with each other and prevented decrease of prices during bidding.

These actions resulted in a minimal decrease in contracts’ cost and overall the value of contracts reached 280 million rubles ($4.2 million). All organizations were registered under the same legal address and in all of them the same person acted as a chief accountant and head of human resources department.

Members of the cartel applied for the program on exemption of liability and admitted wrongdoing.
