MOSCOW, December 25 (RAPSI) – Four suspects in a criminal case on a deadly fire in a mine of the world’s largest potash producer Uralkali in the Perm Region were put in detention on Tuesday, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
According to investigators, on December 22, smoke erupted inside the mine in the town of Solikamsk. Nine workers were all burned alive in the fire.
As part of the case launched after the tragedy four employees of the contracting company FGUP US-30 SMU-680 were arrested including mine overseers Andrey Kuprishkin and Igor Chukaev, chief of a site Maksim Kanishchev, and chief of a mine complex facility Andrey Artyukhin.
The investigation in underway.
