MOSCOW, July 16 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova on Tuesday gave Ukrainian ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova a list of Russian inmates jailed in Ukraine and asked her to grant aid in the observance of their rights, RAPSI reports from the office of Russia’s ombudsman.
Moskakova requested Denisova to check medical conditions and maintenance of the order and conditions of prisoners’ detention and imprisonment, and also asked her to lend support to the relatives of Russian inmates.
During the Tuesday meeting in Moscow, Russian and Ukrainian ombudsmen discussed further cooperation in the clearance of citizens of both countries held in detention centers and prisons.
