MOSCOW, August 28 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Investigative Committee has completed a probe into an attempted bribery in the amount of 14 million rubles ($212,000), which ex-judge of the Sverdlovsk Region Commercial Court Oleg Gavryushin intended to obtain for a decision in favor of a lawsuit party, according to the Committee.

The case has been submitted to a court, the Committee’s statement reads. Investigators believe the former judge acted in favor of a commercial entity in a dispute with the tax authorities.

The former judge is charged with attempted bribery at an especially large scale; his son, who acted as an intermediary in the bribery, had been found guilty and sentenced to 7 years and six months in prison.
