MOSCOW, February 12 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has passed in the third and final reading a bill extending a simplified entry of foreign citizens having e-visas to Russia’s Far East region, a statement of the lower house of the Parliament reads on Wednesday.
The bill envisages a simplified procedure of entrance to car, river or combined checkpoints in Russia’s Far East for foreigners having e-visa.
Nevertheless, the procedure is not to cover railroad and sea checkpoints due to the absence of technical means for checking e-visas at such terminals.
The draft laws are aimed to create additional favorable conditions for the tourism development in the Far Eastern regions, the statement reads.
