MOSCOW, October 16 (RAPSI) – With the assistance of Anna Kuznetsova, Russia’s Child Rights Commissioner, 27 minors were returned from Syria early on Friday, the ombudsman’s press service reports.
In the early hours of the morning of October 16, a plane of Russia’s Defense Ministry with children aged from 2 to13 years onboard landed at the Moscow Region’s Chkalovsky Aerodrome. This was the third plane returned minors from Syria after a pause caused by the coronavirus restrictions. Kuznetsova met the minors.
After the landing they were transferred to an observation center, according to the statement.
After all quarantine measures they will go to their relatives in Dagestan, Penza, Tyumen and Volgogra Regions, Chechnya.
The work on return of other children is underway.
