MOSCOW, October 27 (RAPSI) - There is an increase in the number of fake publications distributed by foreign internet platforms, Russia’s communications watchdog Roskomnadzor reports Tuesday.
The agency found 278 links to fake news on YouTube, 35 on Instagram, 31 on Facebook and 22 on Twitter, the statement reads.
According to Roskomnadzor, censorship concerning Russian media acquired a system character in foreign companies. Google (YouTube), Facebook, Twitter restrict access to publications of nearly 20 Russian media outlets. Repeated calls to stop the censorship are ignored, the watchdog states.
