MOSCOW, May 25 (RAPSI) — Since the beginning of the year, the office of Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has received 17,515 applications, that is twice as many as in the same period of 2020.
The Ombudsman said that those seeking help write by mail, send letters by e-mail, call the hotline and contact her office through social networks.
Complaints cover all areas of protection of human rights and freedoms; however, most frequently they concern issues related to social security, pensions, labor and housing rights, the right to education, health protection, defense in criminal proceedings and much more.
Each case is unique, and her staff work with each one individually, Moskalkova said in her message on a social network.
The office clarified that at present, the federal Ombudsman is examining 3,544 complaints.
