MOSCOW, June 30 (RAPSI) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he does not support mandatory vaccination of the population, and that no one has the right to force a person to be vaccinated if doctors believe that the vaccine can harm that person.
I do not support mandatory vaccination and continue to adhere to this point of view, the head of state stressed.
Nevertheless, the President observed, the only way to prevent further spread of the epidemic was through vaccination; he also expressed his hope that the prejudice of citizens regarding vaccination is to pass.
At the same time, according to President Putin, if a person cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, no one has the right to demand a vaccination certificate from such a person.
According to the head of state, it is illegal to fire employees for refusing to vaccinate if the vaccination is prohibited by doctors.
