MOSCOW, July 16 (RAPSI) — Russia’s Justice Ministry on Friday added Institute for Law and Public Policy to its list of “foreign agents”.
In pursuance of the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization Institute for Law and Public Policy is included in the register of non-commercial organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent, the Ministry said in its statement.
According to the organization's website, it specializes in strategic litigation of public interest, raising legal awareness, as well as academic and publishing work.
“Results of Institute's comprehensive work are precedent decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation and the European Court for Human Rights,” the nonprofit claims on its website.
