MOSCOW, June 29 (RAPSI) – British citizen Shaun Pinner ordered to death in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), has challenged the sentence in the region’s highest court.
The Supreme Court of DPR has confirmed the acceptance of his cassation appeal.
In early June, the judicial panel of the Supreme Court’s Appeals Chamber of the self-proclaimed republic considered a criminal case against Pinner, another Briton Aiden Aslin and Moroccan citizen Ibrahim Saadun. All of them were found guilty of mercenary activities, violent coup, committing a crime by a group of people in conspiracy and training with the aim to conduct terrorist activity. On the totality of the committed crimes they were sentenced to death.
