MOSCOW, July 27 (RAPSI) — For the period from January to the end of June 2022, ourts of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) conducted proceedings on 54,135 cases and materials, according to a statistical report presented on the official website of the DPR Supreme Court.

Of the indicated number of cases, 2,495 were examined by the Supreme Court whereas district, city and inter-district courts of general jurisdiction conducted 49,964 proceedings.

There were also 1,526 cases in the Commercial Court, 150 criminal cases in the Military Court.

For the same period of the past, 2021, there were 69,574 cases in the proceedings of the DPR courts, of which the Supreme Court dealt with 4,503 cases and materials, 59,964 proceedings were conducted by district, city and inter-district courts of general jurisdiction, 4,931 cases were pending in the Arbitration Court and 176 criminal cases in the Military Court.

Thus, it can be seen that in quantitative and percentage terms, there is a decrease in the number of pending cases:

- in the Supreme Court - by 2,008 cases and materials, or by 44.6%;

– in the Commercial Court – by 3,405 cases and materials, or by 69.1%;

- in the Military Court - by 26 cases and materials, or by 14.8%;

- in district, city, inter-district courts of general jurisdiction - by 10,000 cases and materials, or by 16.7%.

Accordingly, the total figures for the first half of 2022 turned out to be less than in the same period of 2021, by 15.439 cases, or by 22.2%.

As of June 30, 2022, 44,171 cases and materials, or 81.6% of their total number, were completed in the courts of the DPR:

- in the Supreme Court - 1,587 cases and materials, or 72.2%;

- in district, city and inter-district courts of general jurisdiction – 33,283 cases and materials, or 77.1%;

- in the Commercial Court - 1,068 cases and materials, or 76.1%;

- in the Military Court - 65 criminal cases and materials, or 45.1%

It should be noted that over the same period last year, the courts of the DPR considered 56,227 cases and materials (80.8% of the total), while the following proceedings were completed:

- in the Supreme Court – 3,243 cases and materials (72%);

- in district, city, inter-district courts of general jurisdiction – 48,675 cases and materials (81.2%);

- in the Commercial Court – 4,223 cases and materials (85.6%);

- in the Military court - 86 criminal cases and materials (48.9%).

In the first half of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, the number of completed cases in the courts of the DPR decreased as follows:

– in the Supreme Court – by 1,330 cases and materials (41%);

- in the Commercial Court - by 2,963 cases and materials (70.2%);

- in the Military Court - by 12 cases and materials (14%);

- in district, city, inter-district courts of general jurisdiction - by 7,754 cases and materials (15.9%).

Accordingly, the indicators for the specified period in 2022 were 12,058 cases and materials (21.4%) less than in 2021.

The number of cases in progress as of June 30, 2022 amounted to 9,964 (18.4%).
