US Defense Department fights to quash Guantanamo transparency claims

The US Department of Defense (DOD) has moved for summary judgment in a case brought by a journalist seeking information on funds used for the construction and maintenance of a structure purportedly built in a secret location and used to hold high-value detainees within the Navy Base at Guantanamo Bay, according to court documents obtained by RAPSI.
