MOSCOW, April 21 (RAPSI) – The head of the Federal Guard Service (FSO) in Caucasus region, General Gennady Lopyrev who stands charged with taking a grand bribe has appealed extension of his detention, RAPSI learned in the 94th Military Garrison Court on Friday.

Lopyrev is to stay in detention until July 23.

Lopyrev was arrested on November 25 following an internal check conducted in the FSO units in Caucasus region. Later in the evening, the 94th Garrison Military Court ruled to put him in jail.
