MOSCOW, September 21 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. A commercial court will examine on October 12 the validity of an airlines' bankruptcy petition, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) on Wednesday.
The petition was filed by Continent airlines on September 9.
Continent was established in 2007. It makes regular and charter flits on Tu-154 aircraft.
The airlines' general director applied to the Federal Air Transport Agency to cancel the operator's certificate due to the suspension of its operations on July 29.
Continent canceled its flights because of its 32 million ruble ($1.1 million) debt to Russian airports. Hundreds of people could not fly.
The airlines had sold about 37,000 tickets by mid-October.
