MOSCOW, January 30 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Supreme Commercial Court has refused to reconsider the arbitration tribunal's decision awarding the Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES) $12.7 million in a lawsuit against a regional grid company, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The Moscow Commercial Court dismissed on June 6 the Southern Inter-Regional Distribution Network Company's (MRKZ) appeal to cancel the arbitration tribunal's judgment dated November 19, 2010. The tribunal then sided with the FGC in the claim against MRKZ.

The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court affirmed the judgment on September 8.

FGC UES was established in 2002 as part of Russia's power engineering reforms. The company controls the country's major transmission lines.

The government holds a major stake in FGC UES. FGC UES' share capital is split into 1.153 trillion ordinary shares.

MRKZ was founded on June 28, 2007 in Rostov-on-Don.
