ST. PETERSBURG, February 7 - RAPSI. Severalmaz has filed an application with the Supreme Commercial Court to reconsider court decisions to recover $4.85 million in favor of Moscow's Kompaktpromstroy, which conducts contractual work at diamond deposits, the Supreme Commercial Court's website reports.
Severalmaz is a subsidiary of Russia's major diamond company, ALROSA. It was founded in March 1992 to develop Europe's largest deposit, Lomonosov, in the Arkhangelsk region.
Severalmaz seeks the reconsideration of the Moscow Commercial Court's June 15 decision, which has been upheld by the Moscow District Federal Commercial Court's December ruling.
Pursuant to these judicial acts, Severalmaz has to compensate for the losses, which the customer suffered due to the reduction of work at the diamond deposit in 2009.
