MOSCOW, March 2 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. The Moscow Commercial Court will hear on March 20 the lawsuit filed by Italian Bulgari S.p.A. against the patent service seeking to cease legal protection of trademarks owned by Almaz-M, the court told the Russian Legal information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) on Friday.
The lawsuit was filed on February 28.
According to the patent watchdog, Almaz-M registered Coral, White Coral and Red Coral trademarks for perfume goods, tooth powders and toothpastes, essential oils and baby food under the ICGS.
The Russian Legal information Agency RAPSI/rapsinews.ru has yet to reach parties for comments.
Bulgari produces jewelries, perfumes and beauty products, clothes, shoes and accessories. It also operates the world-known retail chain. It was reported in May 2011 that French-based Moet Hennessy - Louis Vuitton (LVMH), the world leading producer of luxury goods, is expected to acquire Bulgari S.p.A., that would boost its share at the Russian premium perfume and cosmetics market up to 16-17 percent and up to 9-10 percent at the jewelry market.
Almaz-M is located in the town of Odintsovo, Moscow Region. It produces perfumes and cosmetic products.
