MOSCOW, March 4 - RAPSI. The Voters League alleges that thousands of violations have been committed during the March 4 presidential election, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.
Over three thousand election violations were recorded, while more than 100 observers were expelled from polling stations, Voters League representative Andrei Demin said.
Presidential candidate Mikhail Prokhorov said his observers exposed about 4,000 violations at the elections, many of the fraud techniques have never been seen before.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry will soon publish on its web site official information about uncovered election violations and measures the security services took in response, First Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Gorovoy said.
Among the most common fraud techniques are the observers sending off polling stations and poorly functioning web cameras which obstructs detecting violations. Some individuals were also caught in voting several times at different polling stations.
Billionaire candidate Prokhorov said he would go to the court over the election violations. Vladimir Zhirinovsky's Liberal Democratic Party is reported to be ready to support Prokhorov in his complaints.
