MOSCOW, April 13 - RAPSI. A court of appeals has set May 15 to hear an appeal filed by the Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS) against the judgment invalidating the antimonopoly watchdog's decisions to declare the Megafon mobile services provider in breach of competition law.
The Moscow Commercial Court satisfied on February 14 Megafon's lawsuit to quash the Federal Antimonopoly Services' resolutions.
Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service reported that Megafon was dictating MGTS unfavorable terms of their connection contract since May 2010. Particularly, the plaintiff unilaterally increased its tariffs on the area call termination services for its entire Moscow network.
On October 22, 2010, the watchdog found Megafon in breach of competition law. The plaintiff was ordered to remedy the violations within 30 days and amend its MGTS contract.
