MOSCOW, April 16 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court will hear on April 23 the STREAMTONE and Geocom companies' lawsuit to nullify the Tele2 subsidiaries' licenses on rendering the GSM-1800 services.
Tele2 is a mobile services provider.
The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, IT and Mass Media, the State Radio Frequencies Commission and the Mass Communications Ministry are defendants in the lawsuit.
Tenders for standard GSM communication services in the 1,800 MHz frequencies were held in various Russian regions in 2007. Five Tele 2 subsidiaries were among the successful bidders.
According to STREAMTONE and Geocom, the subsidiaries did not fulfill the tender terms.
The companies maintain that the watchdog was obligated to nullify Tele2's license due to the non-fulfillment of obligations and the radio frequencies should have once again been put up for tender. The plaintiffs believe the service's actions should be qualified as inaction.
Tele2 said the plaintiff did not provide credible evidence of the obligations' non-execution.
