Aeroflot, Russia's largest airline, demands that the defendant refute false information and pay five million rubles ($171k) in compensation. The newspaper in its February 29 article alleged that due to excessive workload Aeroflot pilots sometimes fall asleep right during the flight.

Development Company vs Finance Ministry
Sredniye Torgovye Ryady (The Middle Shopping Mall) company seeks to fully recover the expenses for the renovation project on Moscow's Red Square.
The renovation project was designed in 2000. However, the building, which was subject to renovation, was granted to the federal agency in 2010. The development company considered the contract to be terminated as it was no longer able to fulfill the project. The plaintiff initially claimed 3.6 billion rubles ($114.9 million) in damages.

Rusal vs RusHydro
Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals
Rusal, the world's leading aluminum manufacturer, filed a lawsuit against RusHydro claiming it sustained a 25 million ruble ($806,700) loss as a result of an accident at the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydropower Plant in August 2009. The accident caused a power outage at the aluminium smelters, which resulted in the multi-million ruble losses.

Sberbank vs Pin Telecom, Leasing Group Industry
Sberbank seeks to recover 1.275 billion rubles ($43.6 million) in debt under loans from the St. Petersburg-based PiN Telecom and the Leasing Group Industry. The bank has filed four lawsuits. PiN Telecom is now under bankruptcy procedure.

Nestle believes that Unilever’s "No magic!" advertising slogan discredits the products produced by Nestle under the Maggi brand. Nestle believes that Unilever's ad is an act of unfair competition, touching upon Nestle's business reputation. The claim was dismissed in December 2011, Nestle filed an appeal against the judgment.

Deposit Insurance Agency vs AMT Bank
The application for AMT Bank's bankruptcy was lodged by the state-run Deposit Insurance Agency, which was appointed as the bank's receiver. In the receiver's preliminary estimate, the bank's depositors are entitled to the largest amount in the history of the agency - approximately 13 billion rubles ($430 million).

Federal Agency for State Property Management vs Sports and entertainment complex
The Federal Agency for State Property Management seeks to demolish part of the Gorod Yacht (Yacht City) sports and entertainment complex in northern Moscow. The agency claims that structures associated with Capital Group developer have illegally obtained ownership of the complex. Earlier, the agency said the developer began building the complex in 2004 without obtaining the appropriate documents.
