MOSCOW, July 11 - RAPSI. The Moscow City Court dismissed on Wednesday the appeals filed against the arrest of five individuals detained in the Bolotnaya Square riots case, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency.

The court upheld the Basmanny District Court's decisions to keep Denis Lutskevich in custody until August 9, Artyom Savyolov in custody until August 11 and Oleg Arkhipenkov and Vladimir Akimenkov in custody until August 10.

The court has also left in force the decision to arrest suspect Alexander Kamensky, who was later released under his own recognizance.

Clashes with the police flared up on May 6 during an opposition march across Moscow, which had been granted official permission.

Tens of protesters and police officers were injured. The police detained over 400 rally participants. The court has so far placed 13 individuals in custody for taking part in the riots. Several people have been charged with calls for mass unrest.
