MOSCOW, July 13 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court ordered an expert examination to be carried out in the Google Inc. lawsuit to ban Weblink Ltd from using googl.ru and gugl.ru domain names, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency.
The court thus upheld the defendant's motion for this examination, which will determine whether the domain names are similar to the plaintiff's trademark.
The court has declared a recess until July 20 to allow the plaintiff time to propose potential expert agencies and formulate the questions they will put to the experts.
At an earlier date, the court involved website registrar Garant Park Telecom as a third party.
Earlier Google secured an interim relief: the court prohibited Weblink from assigning the googl.ru and gugl.ru administration rights. At the moment, the administration rights cannot be registered with another registrar or waived.
The world's largest Internet company, Google grew its net profit in 2011 by 15 percent year on year to reach $9.74 billion.
