MOSCOW, March 19 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has postponed until April 10 a Finnish potato chip producer's lawsuit against Kraft Foods over the Taffel brand, RAPSI reported from the courtroom on Tuesday.
The hearing was postponed as the defendant was not duly informed of its time and date.
As the Finnish company's lawyer told reporters earlier, Chips Ab seeks to cancel prematurely the Russian legal protection of the brand, owned by Kraft Foods, which the company has not used for an extended period of time in Russia.
Meanwhile, Chips Ab is the owner of the brand in Finland. The company started its business by making potato chips under the same name, Chips Ab reported on its official website.
Chips Ab is a potato chip and frozen potato producer. Established in 1969, it is a leading player on the Scandinavian and Baltic light snacks market.
