MOSCOW, September 5 (RAPSI) - The prosecution Wednesday asked the Moscow City Court to sentence rampaging lawyer Dmitry Vinogradov to life in prison, RAPSI reports from the courtroom .
The prosecution believes that the confessed shooter's guilt on six counts of murder was fully proven by both state evidence and his testimony.
Vinogradov, 29, a Moscow lawyer, went into the office of the pharmaceutical company he worked for on the morning of November 7 and shot at his colleagues, killing three men and two women and wounding a fourth man, who later died in hospital.
Hours before the shooting, Vinogradov posted a message on a social network about his homicidal agenda and expressed hatred for the human race.
Vinogradov wrote that humankind had defied the laws of nature in its relentless quest for eternal life and this has been a slap in the face of natural selection. Thus, not only have we lost sight of genetic weakness, but we have even encouraged its perpetuation under the guises of "humanity" and "tolerance," he wrote.
Forensic experts confirmed his sanity during the investigation. Vinogradov was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code, including murder, attempted murder, and supporting extremism.
