MOSCOW, January 22 (RAPSI) – The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has scheduled a preliminary procedure in a defamation lawsuit filed by businessman Oleg Deripaska against the leader of Russia's Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov for February 7, the court’s spokesperson Anastasia Dzyurko has told RAPSI.

Deripaska filed the lawsuit seeking one million rubles ($15,000) in compensation for moral harm from Zyugankov last week.

The businessman demands compensation for disparaging remarks about his activity allegedly issued by Zyuganov during the State Duma plenary session on January 9.
