MOSCOW, December 11 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Wednesday confirmed that Alexey Veresov, a defendant in a case over murder threats against a judge and extremism, must remain in detention until January 11, as a lower court had ordered, RAPSI was told in the court’s press service.
Veresov was detained by the Basmanny District Court of Moscow in November. Just before he was transported from the Udmurt Republic and questioned by investigators.
The man stands charged with online public calls for extremism. According to investigators, on a social network he called to incinerate a Moscow City Court’s judge.
Another defendant in the case Sergey Polovets was arrested along with Veresov but later released on travel restrictions.
