MOSCOW, December 30 (RAPSI) – A case over murder threats against a judge against Russian citizen Alexey Veresov will be considered by the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow, according to a statement of the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Indictment has been approved against Veresov, the statement reads.
Investigators claim that the defendant’s actions fall under the definition of murder threat against a judge. Earlier, they qualified them as public calls for extremism committed with the use of information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet.
Veresov was detained by the Basmanny District Court of Moscow in November. Just before he was transported from the Udmurt Republic and questioned by investigators.
According to investigators, on a social network he called to incinerate a Moscow City Court’s judge.
On December 24, Moscow’s Meshchansky District Court found another man Yevgeny Yerzunov guilty of murder threats against a judge and sentenced him to a 110,000-ruble fine ($1,700. The defendant was released from detention.
Yerzunov was arrested on November 13 while attempting to depart for Italy from Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.
