MOSCOW, June 3 (RAPSI) – A court in the Krasnodar Region has fined a woman 15,000 rubles (about $220) for publishing on a social network a fake about absence of coronavirus-infected patients in local hospitals, the press service of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has told RAPSI.

Police have found a post on one of the social media platforms reading that medical employees have persuaded relatives of late patients to fix COVID-19 as the cause of death in the documents and that there are no patients tested positive for coronavirus in the hospitals.

The woman guilty has been fined for misuse of freedom of mass information.
