MOSCOW, January 29 (RAPSI) – The Interior Ministry asked the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow to place Oleg Navalny, the brother of Alexey Navalny, under house arrest as part of a case over coronavirus sanitary violations at the illegal rally held on January 23, the court’s press service told RAPSI on Friday.

The police also demanded house arrest for four other Navalny’s allies, Lyubov Sobol, Oleg Stepanov, Maria Alyokhina and Anastasia Vasilyeva, a representative of the court said.

According to the police, coronavirus-positive persons ordered to isolation were identified among the rally participants. A criminal case was opened over this fact.
